Gita Chapter 14 - Modes

-Krishna preaches the three types of Gunas (modes),its diverse characteristics ,means of realisation and how with yoga of devotion one attains the salvation.

1. Perfection is possible if one follow how great men and sages have attained supreme status through wisdom.

2. One who practice wisdom not contaminated by the modes is not affected by any creation or destruction.

3. Nobody knows about previous births. But suffering or enjoyment is caused only due to one's past deeds.

4. When one does any good or bad, it forms immediately as a basis for making our future as happy or distress.

5. There are three modes of nature in all living beings and they are goodness, passion and ignorance.

6. With all the good qualities, one never feels sorrow or miseries and is sure to gain knowledge and wisdom.

7. One with passion having endless desires and longing for more and more will be committing endless mistakes.

8. One with ignorance mostly develops the characters of inactive, addiction, intoxication and degradation.

9. Doing good things and services in right spirit is sure to succeed and gets appreciation from all.

10. One has to be very careful in choosing the mode of goodness in the midst of passion and ignorance.

11. In delivering things well, one can see, hear, taste and everything in a right position and pure.

12. It is better to avoid desires, wealth, and attachments on temporary positions and possessions.

13. Working by a regulated principle, and endeavoring in good knowledge, makes one successful.

14. Good people who do things in good spirit survive happily with great fame in earth and heaven.

15. There is no possibility to get good birth when one is accustomed to just on selfish desires only.

16. Real happiness is not from the wealth one attains but on the results of pious and righteous action.

17. More money to any one makes one greedy and hankers for pleasure and enjoyment with out limit.

18. There are many avenues for one to become good, loyal and trustworthy, and better to follow them

19. Proper understanding of things through recognized learning system on any issues is ever useful.

20. With our good characters and sincere actions free from bad influences, one is sure to achieve success.

21. Everyone must know the ways and means of executing things with good thoughts and words.

22. Never hate anybody and never hanker for anything is the best goals in one's life.

23. Always remain neutral in both happiness and sorrow and not excited or perturbed on any events.

24. Do your duty perfectly and accept its result happily without any feeling of honor or dishonor.

25. Steady mind and renouncing attitude make one happy, contended and in peaceful atmosphere for ever.

26. Dedicated duty is ever considered as blissful transcendental, and benefit in eternal enjoyments.

27. One can easily elevate our position with prayers to the omnipotent and omnipresent Almighty God.
